Why Does My Faith in God Matter ?

Before we tango, it’s important that we define faith.

Hebrews 11 (KJV) defines faith as “the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” Believing in a God we cannot see takes faith.

We can’t access God without faith

Romans 5:2 states about Jesus “through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we boast in the hope of the glory of God.

Faith pleases God

The bible also tells us in Hebrews 11:6 that, “… without faith it is impossible to please God”.

If there were no other reasons, access to God and His good will are two reasons that we should stress the importance of faith in our lives.

Faith allows us to receive God’s favor (preferential treatment), as well as His grace (unmerited favor), which are keys that open doors in the spiritual realm which then manifest in the natural realm.

Faith is the key to accessing eternal life. It’s the key to understanding our identity. It’s the key to seizing the fullness of our God given inheritance. It takes faith to have an impact, that results in a legacy.

But we must remind ourselves that in order for faith to blossom, it has to be constantly watered by the unwavering conviction that we are not in control!
